ABOUT LÉLA

LÉLA isn't just a pretty four-letter word. When we were searching for a name, nothing felt like us until we looked to Creole, the language of our roots in La Réunion.

We found “Lé la,” the response to “Comment i lé?” – “How are you?” It means “I’m here. I’m good.”

A few days later, our uncle sent that same question in the family chat, and our mom’s cousin answered: “Lé la.” That was the sign. That was our name.

A quiet affirmation, a sense of presence, and a piece of our family woven into what we’re building together.
